Rashawn Brinkley, of Medford, was arrested at Gordon Heights Children’s Park, located on Shirley Lane in Medford, at about 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
SCPD said two boys saw Brinkley at the park and identified him as the man who sexually abused them on Friday, Oct. 7.
The boys notified a family member, who called police, authorities said.
SCPD said police had not previously been notified about the incident that happened at the park on Oct. 7.
Police said Brinkley was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of acting in a manner to injure a child.
Detectives asked anyone with information about Brinkley or who believes they may be a victim to call the Special Victims Section at 631-852-6531.
